Lauren grew up in Scotch Plains, New Jersey. Therefore, at a very early age, she became very familiar with comedy -- she loves her home state but knows all the jokes... reports of her being found in a hollowed out Television set in Victoria  Station are unsubstantiated.

As a writer: Lauren is a published essayist and playwright. Her play Onion: First Date, published in The Louisville Review was mounted as part of The Southern Slam Festival at the Warehouse Theater, SC, which she also appeared in. Lauren is currently working on a full-length play about George Burns and Gracie Allen, (semi-finalist The Eugene O'Neill Center Conference,  Heiress Production,  The Orlando Shakespeare Playfest & Webroadway competition) and recently appeared in an industry reading of act one, as Gracie Allen. Lauren has written extensively on Burns & Allen, including an essay in the book Playbills to Photoplays (for the New England Vintage Film Soc), and has written on comedy & television for the websites Forcesofgeek and Travalanche.

As an actor,  Lauren has performed from H.E.R.E. to the Kennedy Center. Favorite roles include Joan in Elaine May's The Way of All Fish, Jill in Butterflies are Free, and Lala in The Last Night of Ballyhoo. Other appearances include Caryl Churchill's The Skriker (Kennedy Center), Tango 'Til They're Sore (The Flea Theater), and Keanu Reeves Saves the Universe (P.I.T.). Film & TV credits include The Following (Fox) Ten Thousand Saints (2015), the mockumentary The Royal We, an Oxygen TV promo and being famously cut as Gilda Radner from the film Chapter 27, starring Jared Leto.

Currently, Lauren is the co-host and producer of the podcasts of The Fordcast Podcast: A Harrison Ford Podcast  &  The FYI: The Murphy Brown Podcast (co-producer/co-host) (On iTunes, Google Play, Sound Cloud & Stitcher Radio & wherever you listen to podcasts!)
